I don't know about all of you, but I am getting sick to fucking death of the continued devaluation of labor in our society and the absurd elevation of capital. It's really become an elite sickness in the society. Every day it seems a new assault occurs. If it isn't a piece on "Marketplace" bemoaning the court ruling finding abuse of unpaid internships illegal -- "but the companies are giving people so much opportunity in return for their free labor" -- it's the McDonald's budget and the twisted fucks who view it as a public service. (Yeah I'm looking at you Jane Galt, you elongated dumbass.)
I am generally opposed to violence as a means of political expression, but Jesus there are days when I think this country would be a better a place if a few bankers were hanged on lamp posts and a couple of members of their libertarian cheeering section disemboweled in the public square.
Metaphorically of course.
Ah, I'm off on a magical mystery tour of the Old Dominion for the next three days. It's making me cranky. That and the eighteen hours of work this weekend -- for which, I should add gratefully, I am handsomely paid, even though I'm not a member of Big Law.
What's up with all of you. Sorry for the scarcity, but it's been work and house work ad nauseum. (Time to go retrieve the laundry.)
