This simply will not do. The operative meaning of the AUMF is not what Hillary Clinton wishes it to be; it's what George W. Bush wishes it to be. And I think it was obvious at the time that George W. Bush intended use a document titled "Authorization for use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002" to, you know, use force against Iraq. If Hillary Clinton seriously believes that the AUMF vote was about getting inspections going again, I have a mortgage-backed security to sell her.
