Kelley Williams-Bolar: Mom jailed for wanting to give kids a better life

This woman claimed a different address to get her children into a decent school, was found out, and now stands convicted of a felony.  Yes, she committed fraud; I get it.  But come on -- a felony?  And jail??  As many of the commenters note, falsifying residency is apparently a common practice, among all socioeconomic levels -- especially when an athlete is involved.  Other than that, I think it's impossible to ignore the racial aspect here.  Here's the link.
